Writing for Wellness
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH AT 11 AM EST
In this workshop, discover what expressive or wellness writing is and the evidence-based studies on writing’s health benefits, including self-care, emotional and physical wellness, self-awareness and resilience at home and at work. Participants will explore voluntary group writing exercises and invitations for optional sharing. You don’t have to be a writer to join us.
Here's what you'll learn:
- How to set up a personal writing practice that’s sustainable and compatible with work and/or family commitments
- When not to use expressive writing
- Inspiration for those days when writing is the very last thing you want to do
- Places to submit your expressive (journal) writing pieces
Meet your instructor

Áine Greaney
Áine Greaney is an Irish-born author living on Boston’s North Shore. Her nonfiction, fiction and poetry have been published in various outlets, including The Boston Globe Magazine, The New York Times, Creative Nonfiction, Another Chicago Magazine, Pulse: Stories from the Heart of Medicine, KevinMD, The Journal of Expressive Writing and many other publications. She’s also the author of 5 books. As a trained teacher, she has designed and delivered workshops in various community, academic and healthcare settings. Áine is also trained and certified in leading others in writing for health.
