A 60-MINUTE WORKSHOP WITH CATHERINE STRATTON

Flash Nonfiction

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH AT 2 PM EST

To become a better writer, write flash. Word limits compel writers to leave in only what the story demands. The goals is specificity. Every word counts! Nonfiction flash is different from flash fiction because, as in memoir, the fodder is our lives. We are the protagonists. But, while the memoir writer strives to examine multiple life experiences in order to find the through line, writers of nonfiction flash direct their spotlights on just one thing — a memory, an item, a moment in time - and commit to finding meaning in that. The result is a crystallization of a deep dive, a carefully cut gem of life and poetry that speaks volumes.

After the 60-minute presentation, Catherine will be available for an optional Q&A discussion.

**This session will be recorded for those who cannot attend live.
